Every year thousands of people observe a Bull Fighting festival at Taruka village, Nuwakot, during the day of Makar Sankranti or Maghe Sangranti, which heralds the end of winter according to the Hindu calendar. Makar Sankranti or Maghe Sangranti celebrated in Nepal as well as in India.
