    The Arch of Constantine is located between the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill. It was errected by the Roman Senate to commenorate a victory in battle by Emporeror Constantine in 312 AD. It spans the Via Triumphalis, the way taken by emporers returning to Rome after an important victory, usually in battle.
