Little House in Bodie
I took this photo in the California ghost town of Bodie in the Eastern Sierras. Bodie was once a thriving gold mining town in the late 1800's, but was abandoned after the mines be came less productive. To me, the reflection of the prairie house is a metaphor to looking back in time. It makes me stop to think about what life must have been like for these pioneers... a simpler, but much harder life without cell phones, indoor plumbing and fast food.
