    This photo is one of a series. I was surprised when i looked back to see the sequence of events once the dive starts. Initially the wings are outstretched, then the body and wings twist to fine tune the dive direction, talons start to extend, then the legs are bought forward and just prior to hitting the water head on, the legs are bought forward to align with the beak, with talons fully extended. Best chance of a catch, beak and talons at the ready. Pretty awesome i thought.
