    In Yucatan, many people do not own cars and must deal with the daily task of everyday life by walking or bicycling. When I was bicycling across the country, I came across this woman carrying a bundle of sticks, presumably for building a fire for cooking. What impressed me was her dignity. Note that the trump line that secures her burden is adorned with cloth roses at her forehead.
