    From the sparrow family Part of the Sparrow family, but this plump little guy is one of my favorite winter visitors here in Kansas. If you want to see one you might have to go out and look in the heavy leaves and under cover where they like to search for food. The ones I've seen Flew up to a branch after I did some pishing but worth going out to look for.
