In Bago, Myanmar (Burma), I ran across this spirit celebration known as "Nat Pwe." At a Nat Pwe, people known as "Nat Kadaw" or "Spirit Spouse" dance for the spirits and, at times, go into a state of ecstasy in which they are believed to be possessed by the spirit. Red and white are colors loved by most of the spirits, and seen often at a Nat Pwe.
