    We all want to capture a rare moment. But on this Sunday afternoon, at the very tip of Door County, I was all alone on the icy pier that jutted out over the frozen water. I knew, with low light, a tripod would be important. But it kept slipping on the ice, so I went down to one knee and took a few shots. When I went to stand up, even though I was wearing YakTrax, I started to slide. The metal grips caught and I was able to duck walk off the pier and back to my car. Was it worth the risk? Hope so
