On a recent trip through South America, I captured this image of a local woman following her sheep to pasture. In Ecuador, where we began our journey, we spent three days in San Rafael, gazing across lago San Pablo at the Imbabura volcano. Local sheep herders climbed past our cabaña on their way up the steep mountain roads to the fields where they watched over their animals while they grazed.
