Along Kelowna's waterfront is a bird sanctuary which is a photographer's mini paradise because there is a lot of activity from birds, turtles and animals. It's a wonderful place to just sit and observe but even greater to bring a camera. Every year, Ospreys build a nest and the juvenile Osprey in this photo is one from last year. Juveniles have the white tips on their wing feathers and also have amber eyes. A mature adult will have solid coloured feathers and greenish/yellow eyes.
