Vaulting for safety
After an attempt at the rose, which triggers the attention of the bull, their only way to safety is to vault into the stands using a trampoline bench which lines the perimeter wall. To keep the stress of the bulls down to a minimum they are rotated every 10 minutes. While the bullfighters try to get the rose the crowds bids up the price money incentivizing the fighters to try for the rose.
