There's a local tradition in some Romanian villages that when a person dies, a child should carry water for six weeks to all the neighbors. It is said that the soul remains on Earth for six weeks and this is a way of feeding it's energy. This little girl carried the water for my wife's grandma and this shot was taken on the last day of her mission as a "carrier for the dead". On the two sticks she marked the passed days.
