I took this photo while walking late at night along the sidestreets of Florence and quietly admiring the Ponte Vecchio as its lights reflected on the Arno. Firenze, bastion of the Medicis, where the Rennaisance was born and flowered. But at the day's end, as the night lights flicker out, the greatest joy is perhaps not so much the art of Michealangelo and Dante, but the serenity the comes with the night and the comfort of knowing it was a day well spent.
