Migration isn't a phenomenon restricted to human beings who had been moving from one place to another through centuries. Human beings use not only their feet but any travel media available to them. Cubans escaping towards the promised freedom of USA use any kind of boat or floating device, as well as people escaping from Middle East towards Europe, primarily by sea. Wherever they came from and go to, migrants, especially the ones searching asylum, face long and hazardous voyages.
