bushman walking stick
A San bushman (better: his arm) with his walking stick. He was leading a small group of !Xaus Lodge tourists on a guided morning walk. The San bushmen always have their walking sticks with them, in order to check out the terrain for snakes and other possible threats. The San still live in the Kalahari desert as their ancestors did, unimpressed by the amenities of modern life.
