    Utah. When the world is so much bigger than you and there is so much to see around you, you have to stop an take a moment to see the little things too. This photo was taken in Alaska on a nature walk when I noticed various insects--ants, wasps, flies--crawling around on a patch of cow parsnip. I love this photo because many people find flies ugly and annoying, but when you look up close at them, at their vibrant colors, the delicacy of their thin wings, etc., you see their complexity.
