In February 2009, Kansas recorded a concert in Topeka, Kansas at Washburn University which was the alma mater of three band members, including Dave. This shot was taken during rehearsal on the day prior to the actual concert. Dave asked me if I would take the shot so he could send some to his violin sponsor. The performance was released on CD, DVD and Blu-ray and the DVD hit No. 5 on the Billboard Music Video Chart the week after its release.
