I was one of a handful of people on a boat to Prek Toal Wildlife Sanctuary in Cambodia, and we passed this Cambodian family paddling home. Houses in Tonle Sap are frequently built directly over the lake on stilts. Boats substitute for bicycles, mopeds, and cars. As I photographed them, the children got excited and smiled and waved, which made it so much more fun.
