During the first interaction between two new horses, there is a fight for who will be the alpha and in charge. Poor Beau on the left, a buckskin gelding, didn't have the savvy of how to be an alpha. His status was always very low on the herd totem pole. Luckily, Prince, the horse on the right, actually liked Beau. If he hadn't he could have bitten him in the jugular/neck and that would have been the end of Beau. The fear in Beau's eyes tell it all. They ended up best of friends.
