On a recent trip to Zion National Park, decided to try and photograph the rock formations in Zion Canyon. Not exactly the most beautiful time of year because the cottonwoods are bare and the lighting can be pretty harsh during the dryness of winter. The nice part is that the sun is not so high in the sky that everything is flat with no shadows and character.
