The Dark Side of The Great Lakes
The Great Lakes might not be oceans but they are subject to severe storms that historians believe have sunk between 6,000-25,000 ships and claimed more than 30,000 lives. This is a photo of Lake Huron not during a storm but during a very windy day. I wanted to capture the cold, unforgiving face that these lakes are capable of wearing. During these months of winter the lake can be very dangerous as large chunks of ice are being carried and thrown with haste on the stormy waters.
