In the midst of black history month, we acknowledge and embody the spirit of our black heroes that fought for our rights to be here today. Amongst those heroes stands Malcolm X. He was a black, Muslim, human rights activist that educated people about the horrors of racism and beauty of life. Malcolm X taught us to hunger for education and strive to be respectable citizens of the world. As a black Muslim, Malcolm X paved the way for me so that I did not have to endure the same struggles as him.
