Had been to Oxbow lake in Purbasthali, Burdwan; West-Bengal, India. The oxbow lake of Purbasthali sprawls over an area 3.50 km2 & attracts migratory birds in the winter. The lake is around 120 Km from Calcutta. Heard the news that red crested Pochard arrived in that lake. Hired a manual boat & travel through the entire lake. While searching for red crested Pochard found the kingfisher drying it's wings.
