The massive muscular build, the intense bad attitude stare, the scarred lip, the massive horns with one broken tip all added up to make this one of the most impressive beasts I have ever seen up close. He showed, and probably had, no fear of me although we were both very much aware of each other. I showed him a healthy amount of respect and I believe he begrudgingly showed me the same. I have no doubt that this spring a young ram will challenge this alpha and I am sure he will remain the alpha.
