The Great Horned Owl nest I have beed fortunate to photograph lately is in a crouch of a large live oak tree, and around 11 to 12 feet of the ground. Keeping a safe and ethical distance from the nest using extenders and a remote shutter I am honored to have had this experience over the last two weeks... This Owlet was branching but made it's way back to the nest to feed on something that mom dropped off earlier. I couldn't see breakfast, only the actions of pulling, eating, and a glance my way.
