Three Acres and a Cow
In the 1880s, British land reform campaigners coined the term "Three acres and a cow" to promote their idea for an ideal land holding for every citizen. I find myself quite sympathetic to this ideal. Although in Iceland I think a horse would be a necessary addition, and in the Westfjords perhaps a boat as well.
This photo was taken during the second day of our circumnavigation of Iceland, travelling from Ísafjörður to Akureyri. We covered absolutely stunning ground that day.
