Scouring through the streets of a little obscure town called Shaodao, I came upon a group of Tujia people (one of China's 56 ethnic groups) so caught up in their own world that they were oblivious of me with my camera. Tucked away in the autonomous region of Enshi in Hubei province, life is leisurely and slow and the unprecedented changes that are engulfing China appear to have little impact here. I was fascinated by the faces that seem to tell so many stories.
