    Before encountering it here, I didn't even know it existed. This redshank was so lonely on this narrow strip of soil emerging from the water. It seemed to me that the bird was floating in the air. The common redshank is an eurasian wader and feeds on small invertebrates. It is wary and noisy in case of threat. I've been lucky not having been spotted !!!
