The heart of the tree
A heart on the trunk of a tree at the site of Lielvārde Castle ruins, in Latvia. Lielvārde is a town in the historical region of Vidzeme, in northern Latvia. The castle was built at the steep bank of Daugava River before 1248 by Riga Archbishop. It was invaded and partially destroyed by Russian troops in 1579. Since that time, its ruins stand there abandoned. I guess this tree have seen a lot.
