When my sister Caroline died a year after the suicide of her daughter, Rachael, my coworkers bought me a ornamental plum tree to commemorate them. It has grown from a little stick to a flourishing tree and while it was still flowering this spring I made a small tribute to Rachael with a photo that shows that spunky personality we all miss and her ring, my sister's bracelet and the heart she gave me.
