Buddhism is national religion in Myanmar but it is harder to see photos of nuns because there are far fewer of them and they are generally shy and prefer not to have their photos taken. Sadly, sexual equality does not exist in Buddhism. Only monks can achieve enlightenment. The best a nun can hope for is to be re-born as man, and perhaps from there enlightenment.
