Lots of controversies exist with regards to near-death experiences. Among the most common reports of those extra-ordinary events, however, is the image of a tunnel, a powerful symbol of fear as well as hope, leading to a destination more or less distinct. The yet leafless tree branches of this early spring framed the tunnel in a fashion reminiscent of the far more complex neuronal network of the human brain. A metaphor of human spirit channeling life beyond its boundaries. Ad infinitum.
