    Reported by:

Whilst working in a rainforest lab, an egg fell from the ceiling and landed next to my microscope, it was ready to hatch, moving gently from side to side. I carefully repositioned it with my tweezers just under the slide and watched the baby gecko hatch. Unfortunetely it had fallen from the nest, away from the safety of care, and so death was iminent. The cycle of life and death for this one happened all too quickly.
