Hagia Sophia — the Holy Wisdom, Hagia Sophia of Constantinople, IIA-Sophia (GK. Ἁγία Σοφία, fully: Ναός τῆς Ἁγίας τοῦ Θεοῦ Σοφίας; tour. Ayasofya) is a former Patriarchal Orthodox Cathedral, later a mosque, now a Museum; the world famous monument of Byzantine architecture, the symbol of the "Golden age" of Byzantium. The official name of the monument today Hagia Sophia (Turk. Ayasofya Müzesi).
