There are about 500-1000 sloth bears in the jungles of Sri Lanka. This was photographed by my daughter Eva after a chase in Wilpattu National Park, directed by a group a Buddhist monks! We just followed them in our jeep and found the mystic creature staring at us from a bush. It was 4 Pm and the light was perfect. The animal was calm. He was not bothered by us. He let us photograph him for 1 minute and then he went back to the bush.
