    Edit Photo Details Great horned owl chicks--growing up   #bird #great_horned_owl #foxpaw
    The chicks are old enough now that the mother no longer stays in the nest, though she's in a tree, close by, watching over them. When they stretch their wings, I can see the primary feathers filling in--they should be ready to fledge in a few more weeks! I'm meeting other photographers, who show up regularly, now that the owls are more visible and more active. Excitement is mounting!
