    My view from inside the cable car traveling to the top of Zugspitze, Germany's tallest mountain (9,718 feet). What looks like a thin wire on the top left is one of the cables. Among the passengers in my car were two young American boys who repeatedly announced during the nearly entire 20-min. ride to the top: "Mommy, I'm scared!" Ok. I was a bit unsettled, too!
