Gar blowing bubbles
Gars (like this long nosed variety) are plentiful here and in the spring, during the spawning season (for most fish species) these things are everywhere in the backwaters and near the shoreline. This one was cruising the shallows just below the surface of the relatively clear water and had just taken a gulp of air when I snapped this image. The bubbles are from that action. Looks like some ancient monster doesn't it?
