This Gharial was lying by the water's edge in Chitwan National Park in Nepal. It took me a while to get the positioning right - I was waist-deep in the water by the time I was able to frame the shot properly. I was conscious to not disturb the animal, and the 300mm lens gave me a good reach so that I did not. This critically endangered species is on the brink of extinction, but in Chitwan they seem to be breeding well.
