    Reported by:

Weston Dove in Point Lobos State Reserve joins with the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary to help protect the water quality and marine life of the Central California Coast. Perhaps as important as the marine habitat protection itself is the accessibility of the marine sanctuary to visitors and divers, to introduce and maintain support for the value of these sorts of reserves.

    Story 1

I like the light and the composition on this photo. The sun is at the perfect spot and my eye travels back and forth from it to the beached kelp on the foreground. Without the kelp, this photo would not be so striking. The kelp to me is a sign of a working, interconnected ecosystem where food from the sea will feed animals on the coast.
