The photo was taken in March 2016, Mirzakhil Dorbaarsharif in Satkania, Chittagong, Bangladesh. The man in the photo was bowing down to the floor in the presence of his Pir (Saint/spiritual leader) as a sign of reverence and respect. The people who submit in this form believe that the greater their form of surrender and show of humility the greater is the love they will receive from their Pir, which in turn will allow them to get more favour and love from Allah, the creator of all.
