BLACK-AND-WHITE COLOBUS MOTHER
This affectionate mother is a Black-and-white colobus monkey “Colobus guereza”.
Colobus is a native to Africa herbivorous primate, living in groups of about nine individuals, in higher-density logged forests, riverine areas, and wooded grasslands.
An interesting characteristic is that newborn colobuses are completely white.
Their genus name "colobus" comes from Greek word kolobos (docked), and is so named because their thumb is a stump.
