marker
Along many Kentucky highways You will find markers about yesteryear. This one tells about an old earthwork that had a poll fiance on top of the earthen wall.Today the Ohio river with it's dams is much wider and deeper than it was in In the earlier times. At that time the river was fill of gravel bars with pools and eddies. There was a ford at this place making crossing easier. The walls are weathered and worn down but they can still be seen.
