Garners Ford Bridge has spanned Raccoon Creek outside Rio Grande Ohio as long as anyone can remember in those parts, probably from around 1890. My mother and her family lived a couple of miles away on Garners Ford Road in a house my grandfather built. It was that farm and house that I remember so fondly from my childhood, visiting my grandparents in the summer. Not a lot of traffic uses the bridge, which is a good thing. The weight limit is a mere one ton.
