    Reported by:

Each summer Silversides (Dwarf Herring) mass to spawn inside reef tunnels in the Cayman Islands. The Eden Rock and Devil's Grotto tunnels are shallow sites with easy access and are thus famous for this spectacular demonstration of nature's bounty. Stop moving and breath shallow to see what really goes on when we aren't there. Sadly, this site is in grave peril of being spoiled in silt from plans to dredge a 15 acre pit for cruise berthing, immediately adjacent to this reef.

What a great shot of predators and prey in action. Perfect lighting of the tarpon (it's difficult not to overexpose their silvery scales), and balance with the ambient light. Great composition
