Chom Thong is a small town that sits 50km outside the main city of Chiang Mai and right below the misty, green mountains of Doi Inthanon National Park :: This picture was taken from a watchtower in the back of a rice paddy farmhouse. I visited this tower most mornings and evenings because it was a great spot for birdwatching :: Three dogs guarded the tower and always gave me a loud greeting.
