Many people who have never seen a Sand Hill Crane might be afraid because of the birds height. Thing is, I was within four or five feet when I captured this photo. Now, that doesn't mean the bird will be your best friend. If they have a baby with them, I suggest you just stay away. Both of the parent birds will do anything to protect their little chick.
