I was driving west along I-90 across Montana during the evening hours when I decided to get out and take a photo of the lightning storm I was following. I pulled over to the shoulder, set up my tripod, and took a couple of preliminary shots. As soon as I heard an approaching semi, I opened the shutter and waited. Thankfully, the lightning struck moments before the shutter closed! Shot on a Nikon D60, ISO 400, 18mm, f/3.5, 28.0 sec.
