After camping within one of its watchtower, we continued hiking along the Gubeikou section of the Great Wall of China. After hiking along this section of the wall for hours we still had not seen a soul. Through this solitude a sense of tranquility and awe overcame us as we peered back to the horizon and captured this moment of our path stretching on as far as they eye could see. A great wall indeed.
