State Capitol Charleston, West Virginia
The state capitol building in Charleston, West Virginia as seen from the Kanawha Boulevard. The statue in front is titled "Lincoln Walks At Midnight" and depicts the many sleepless nights he must have had during his administration. One of the decisions he made was to create the State Of West Virginia, made official on June 20, 1863 and he has a place of honor at our Capitol grounds.
